Year: 2020
This is one of the tracks I’ve really been looking forward to since originally hearing cuts of it a while back. This one doesn’t disappoint in the slightest! An absolutely brilliant song filled insane guitars by Trev Lukather. Not to mention….
“Can’t wait for this! So awesome my good friend @StevePerryMusic joined us on this track bringing his powerhouse vocals to the mix. We built the epic guitar solo bridge together as well. Thanks brotha Steve!!!” – Trev Lukather

Hey gang, I’m happy and thankful to say that the writing and recording process has been moving along better than expected on my first official full solo offering. Half the album’s gone on to the mixing stage. It’s akin to sending your kids off to college. An absolute degree of separation anxiety going on there but I know I’m in the best of hands, that is the hands of Steve Mandile I’m very thankful to have collaborated with a couple of Steve Augeri Band alumni Adam Holland and Craig Pullman on a handful of songs, one to two with Neal and Jon and remainder, a few ambitious and left of center than one might expect from yours truly. I’lll leave it at that. Wishing you all a great safe and healthy day and I’ll be back with any and all updates when I have something to share. – Steve Augeri

“I Can’t Go On Living Without You” has been unveiled to celebrate the release of Elton John’s Jewel Box, released today via UMC / EMI. Multiple GRAMMY winner Mark ‘Spike’ Stent (Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber) has given the unreleased 1968 mix – one of the many gems of Jewel Box – a 2020 polish in time to celebrate one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year.
Now it’s time to hear the Elton original for the first time. ‘I Can’t Go On Living Without You’ is three fabulous minutes of the zingy easy listening pop of the day, with a catchy chorus and a memorable hook.
The track is accompanied by a new lyric video from Ladybug Studios where, like the track itself, the song’s swingin’ 60s vintage will be given a fresh and contemporary twist. It features images of Elton and Bernie from the period.
Jewel Box is available now as deluxe 8CD and 9LP box sets, standalone 4LP, 3LP and 2LP breakouts. On streaming services we’re celebrating its wealth of rarities, deep cuts and B-sides via a series of regular three-song batches, culminating with the complete ‘Jewel Box’ appearing, in full, in March for Elton’s 75th birthday.

22-year-old singer, songwriter, actress, model and activist Paris Jackson releases her first full-length album, wilted [Republic Records].
Co-written and produced by Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull with engineering and instrumentation by Manchester Orchestra’s Robert McDowell, these eleven tracks stitch together a multi-dimensional pastiche of hurt, healing, loss, and love carried by hazy vocalizations and a patchwork of earthy alternative folk.
The lead single from the album, “let down,” recently debuted to widespread critical applause from Rolling Stone, USA Today, Idolator, Spin, Entertainment Weekly, and more. E! Online described it as “sumptuous alt-folk fantasy,” and Refinery29 called it “a feather-soft but haunting melody about the horror of a broken heart.” People summed it up best, “Paris Jackson is blazing her own path in the music industry.” In just two weeks, the single has amassed nearly 1.5 Million combined global streams, propelled by the stunning music video, which was executive produced by Eli Roth and directed by Meredith Alloway.
Other stand outs from the album include “eyelids” which pairs stark piano with powerful lyrics as she urges, “tear my heart out, so the feel of that memory is gone…now i don’t know your name,” offset by Hull’s understated vocals.
Following an in-depth interview with the Associated Press, Paris features on the latest digital cover for FAULT Magazine released today. Next up, she will guest on NPR’s Weekend Edition, Sunday Nov 15th.
