It Is That Time Again... Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp

Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp is proud to present its all-star line-up for the New York City camp, August 30-September 3, 2007. The camp will feature music legends including Paul Stanley (KISS), Paul Shaffer (Late Show with David Letterman), Mark Farner (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad), Ronnie Spector (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee/The Ronettes), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Max Weinberg (Late Night with Conan O'Brien), Leslie West (Mountain), Bruce Kulick (KISS) and more!

The 5-day, life-changing experience offers consumers the opportunity to live out their ultimate rock 'n' roll dream. This one-of-a-kind event brings music lovers of all levels together with professional rock stars for the unforgettable chance to share the limelight and the stage with living legends. Camp highlights include writing and recording an original song, master classes taught by renowned talent and daily jam sessions with rock 'n' roll counselors.

Rehearsals will be held at the Gibson Hit Factory, with the camp experience culminating with a "battle of the bands" performance and All-Star Counselor Jam. Each camp band will perform live on stage at the legendary B.B. King's in Times Square with Paul Stanley of KISS and Tom "Bones" Malone and the Late Show with David Letterman horn section.

Counselors at the New York City Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp also include Gary Burr (Carole King), Spike Edney (Queen), Sandy Gennaro (Joan Jett/The Monkees), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), Corky Laing (Mountain), Jane Wiedlin (The Go-Go's), and Alan White (YES). Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp was dubbed the "most amazing rock 'n' roll lifestyle experience" by The London Times and "brilliant" by Good Morning America. Aly & AJ Take Over MTV, This Weekend

Pop duo Aly & AJ will be taking over MTV for what will be an 8 hour block of TV Shows, ending with their latest film "Sweet 16: The Movie".

Beginning at 1pm this Saturday (18th) the pilot of "Sister Act" starring the sisters will air. Between 1:30-5pm the 2 will play a marathon of Sweet 16 episodes which will be narrated by them both. An all new episode will follow at 5, 5:30 will see Aly & AJ's Party Episode air and the finale will be the Sweet 16 movie. Repeats will be made available on Sunday starting at 10:00am.

They Are Back...Yet Again.... Van Halen

Beginning this September, in what promises to be the most exciting live tour this year, Van Halen will embark on a national concert tour throughout the U.S. and Canada with its original lead singer David Lee Roth for the first time in 22 years.

Considered by fans and media alike as one of the most highly anticipated tours in rock and roll history, Roth, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and drummer Alex Van Halen will perform with Eddie's son, Wolfgang who joins the line-up as the band's bass player. Van Halen and Roth have not performed or recorded together since 1984's classic multi-platinum album 1984 and subsequent tour, making this tour truly a historic event.

25 dates in all were announced today for the tour which is slated for a September 27th kick-off in Charlotte, North Carolina. Many of you have already received this email from The Harem, but for those who have not subscribed here's the latest update.

Dear fan club members, because I still receive (since the July 19 announcement, check (www.haremscarem.net) many questions about the site future, I'm sending this FAQ (originally posted on the HS forum, (forum.haremscarem.net) by a FC newsletter as well. I hope this will clarify a lot of things...

1. THE SITE
www.haremscarem.net is not about to end. Currently it's still an official band website, normally active, until the last Scarem album is released and selling... Then, after some time, it will change into something like a (official) tribute site, but still containing news and updates on the Scarem relative projects, bands, etc...

2. THE FAN CLUB
Also FAN CLUB (especially the GOLD level) will work as usual. There are no plans to refund GOLD memberships, we can be fans even of non-existing band, right? You've got the FC exclusive merchandise, the fan club downloads will normally continue as well as the store discounts. Simply, nothing changes.

IMPORTANT:
We're still taking new orders, but it's limited by the number of Fan Club only merchandise we have (available memberships are depending on available T-shirt sizes). At this moment we still have a few FAN CLUB memberships for Men's L, XL and XXL and Ladies' M and S. Once these are sold out there will be no second chance to get them! Yes, the number of FC members is limited and there's NO PLAN to do any FC merchandise re-print in the future.

Starting today, we ship the FC merchandise without the autographed photo, but DON'T WORRY! The new members will receive the photo in separate shipment a couple of weeks later.

So, if you want something cool and really exclusive, don't wait and order your membership as soon as possible.

3. MERCHANDISE
Yes, there will be (most likely) a new shirt for the upcoming album and probably some more, depends on the interest.

IMPORTANT:
There will not be any re-print of currently available t-shirts. See the store what's available now. Human Nature shirt is selling relatively fast, there are still some Men's L, XL and XXL (M is already sold out), 3 Ladies' S and only ONE Ladies' M. White t-shirt is almost gone, only a few left.

The Rubber duck shirt was done in relatively small edition and we have just a few of each type (except Men's M, which is already sold out).

City Sleeps, the newest addition to the Trustkill roster, comes fully armed with powerful melodic hooks, the soaring vocals of front-man Ely Dye and a knack for writing adrenaline fueled rock songs meshed with the grit and technicality of post-hardcore.

Hailing from Atlanta, GA, the band which includes Dye, Adriel Garcia (guitar), London (drums), Milo (guitar) and Brady (bass) had started as City Sleeps a little over two years ago. Our prior name was something we came up with a very long time ago, and our musical direction has changed drastically since. We are incredibly excited about our new name and our new album.

As some of you may know, we hit the studio with producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park) in the spring of 2007. While in LA with Don, we recorded the first single from our new album, "No Tomorrow, Just Tonight". The track is posted on our new myspace page, and our new website. Calling all Donnaholics! America's rock n' roll rebels The Donnas get back to business with their headbanging, hard rock masterpiece Bitchin'. Co-produced by Jay Ruston (The Polyphonic Spree, Meat Loaf), the album is set to be self-released on the band's new label, Purple Feather Records, on September 18, 2007.

With all 14 fist-pumping, shout-out-loud tracks written by The Donnas and without typical label pressures, Bitchin' allowed the ladies to develop their sound and write with a new passion, resulting in a fresh take on the signature Donnas sound that fans crave. The album cranks out characteristic girl-power lyrics set to high-energy riffs and raw, punchy beats, launching listeners into non-stop party mode like only The Donnas can.

Formerly referred to as Donnas A, F, R and C respectively, Brett Anderson (lead vocals), Maya Ford (bass), Allison Robertson (guitar) and Torry Castellano (drums) have been performing together since junior high in 1993. With 14 years of experience under their studded belts, The Donnas have come into their own at an early age. "We know what we want, we know how to get it, and we are ready and willing to take it. It's almost like we have come full circle," says Robertson. "Maybe in some way we are still the same dorky pre-teens who started playing because we love rock n' roll. The difference is that now we are completely comfortable and confident with who we are."

Known by most for their sassy, bad-girl reputation, album number seven represents a new level of maturity and independence for the ladies as they play double-duty as both hard-rock goddesses and savvy business women, taking their careers into their own hands with the launch of Purple Feather, which is available through Redeye Distribution.

Feelings range from boyfriend tension to girl fight anger to party-time enthusiasm on Bitchin'. The track "What Do I Have to Do" takes a peek into the band's more vulnerable side through lyrics that tell the tale of a relationship gone rotten. "I'm being way too nice/and you're as cold as ice," is heard, as well as, "What do I have to do to make you want me?" "Girl Talk" is reminiscent of earlier Donnas tracks with lyrics that bring to mind the image of a high school hallway cat fight with a heated Anderson shouting, "Up & down the halls/writing on the walls… Stop talking about me…" and, "Think you're jealous much/all up in my business/girl I've had enough/you better start running." Then there is "Don't Wait Up for Me," a Def Leppard-esque metal anthem that chants, "Loosen up/drain the cup," and brings together clapping hands and stadium crowd cheering with pounding drums and a roaring guitar solo.

We just finished the Oxygen Network Special that is Premiering on August 14. I love it! It really captures what the last 6 months have been like for me. It's actually exhausting for me to watch as it brings back so many memories and reminds me of how hard we have been working. However, it has all been worth it and there is so much more to come. Would love you guys to check the show out. It's called, "I Am Mandy Moore," (I didn't title it!) but its a fun look at the inside of what goes on. As you know, I'm a pretty private person but I let my guard down a lot more than ever before (or ever will in the future) for this show.

I thought I had a Few Days Down but I got offered to guest star on the Season Premiere of "How I Met Your Mother" and there is no way I could pass that up-- the show's hilarious. I'm a bit nervous but mostly excited, as it's the perfect opportunity to play someone a bit unlike myself......we're taping it next week and it airs sometime mid September.

"Dedication" is coming out this month - I can't believe its already August...Man alive! The premiere is going to be in NYC and the film opens as a limited engagement in NYC and LA on August 24th. It goes wide on September 14th. I've said it before but I'll say it again: I am so proud of this film and in such awe of the actors I got to work with. I think you can check out the trailer on iTunes...

I am hoping this finds you all well. I will check in next week. Keep enjoying the music. "Nothing That You Are" is the next single and I guess it's already getting played in a bunch of places. The new album is the second that was recorded after singer Michael Bormann's departure from the line-up. Swedish ex SCUDIERO shouter Johan Fahlberg proved to be a more than perfect replacement and his live performances have conquered many new fans during the recent JADED HEART European tours. The new album is also going to present a new face, the guitarist Peter Ostros, who has contributed strongly to the songwriting of this kick-ass new release.

The sound on the album is definitely heavier and more in your face, still keeping intact the elements that has created the recognizable and well-known JADED HEART sound. Production was handled by some of the most requested guys in the German Hard Rock scene: Michael Voss (Mad Max, Voices Of Rock), Chris Lausmann (ex-Bonfire, Voices Of Rock) and Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69) and you can definitely hear a sound that has the "million dollar bucks" trademark!

JADED HEART are already working on new tour dates to visit as many European countries as possible in the next months.

Verizon Wireless today announced an exclusive and multi-tiered relationship with classic rock legends AC/DC, as the company's V CAST Music service becomes the first digital music service to deliver AC/DC's entire back catalog digitally. Respecting the band's reputation for delivering a full-album experience, Verizon Wireless is making AC/DC's music available in full-album downloads. AC/DC's catalog consists of 18 classic albums, and for many music enthusiasts, the AC/DC catalog has been one of the most highly-anticipated digital releases to date. The multi-tiered relationship includes AC/DC's entire back catalog -- of which Verizon Wireless is the exclusive mobile music provider through March 2008 -- plus exclusive performance footage on V CAST Video and a special V CAST Mobile TV program.

Formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young (still the most formidable electric guitar team in rock), AC/DC released its first album, "High Voltage," in 1975. The group has gone on to sell more than 63 million albums in the U.S., making AC/DC one of the five best-selling bands in American music history. EMI Music today announced a deal with the groundbreaking MixAlbum.com service, as featured on the BBC2 smash hit show Dragons’ Den. It is the first of a raft of new deals EMI is able to pursue following its recent move to offer consumers higher quality, DRM-free downloads.

Newly launched MixAlbum.com is the world’s first and only fully automated DJ mixing system, allowing consumers to create their own mixed playlists after making a selection of their preferred tracks. Music from EMI label Positiva as well as all EMI dance related catalogue will be made available to consumers for purchase.

Music fans can create as many personalized mixes of their playlists as they like, copy them to CD or MP3 player, and listen to the tracks as a fully mixed dance compilation. K-EARTH 101 is celebrating three and half decades of playing The Greatest Hits on Earth by throwing a year-long party for its listeners that will include a spectacular music festival in Orange County this fall. The K-EARTH 101 35th Anniversary Concert, presented by Mercedes Benz Dealers of Southern California, will take place at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Saturday, September 15th. The Bangles - Return To Bangleonia DVD

The Bangles are very pleased to announce the U.S. release on August 14, 2007 of their first-ever live concert DVD, Return to Bangleonia - recorded live at Hollywood's House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in 2000 with the original lineup of Debbi Peterson (Vocals/Drums), Michael Steele (Vocals/Bass), Susanna Hoffs (Vocals/Guitar), and Vicki Peterson (Vocals/Lead Guitar).

"We know it's an older performance, and that some people have various versions and bootlegs of it" says Vicki, "but we felt it was an important time to archive officially. The year 2000 was the re-emergence of the band, and playing a club on the Sunset Strip felt like a homecoming."
