Bongiovi Acoustics, LLC announces that it has solved the most critical challenge presented by MP3/MP4 music playback: Poor quality audio as a result of diminished frequency response from compressed audio data files. The patented Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station processor is a groundbreaking achievement in audio technology. Encoded on a computer chip, the processor can be custom-tuned to maximize the performance of any playback device. The active processor constantly scans the program material in real time and raises frequency levels to compensate for diminished frequency response. The CONNECT Music Service will not close before March 2008. Even after the store closes you will continue to be able to play, manage, and transfer the music in your SonicStage® library and on your existing ATRAC devices. However, we do recommend that you use any outstanding promotional codes, account credits or gift certificates available in your music account prior to March 2008.

Hey gang! Wanted to let you all in on what's going on with the new EP!

Pre production has been going on for a while now between writing and making sure I have some kick ass songs for the new record. It just got confirmed that recording the EP will begin at the beginning of January @ Bopnique Studios. Producing the EP will be super producer Anthony Resta, who has worked with Collective Soul, Shawn Mullins, Duran Duran, Sarah McGlaughlin (is that how you spell it?) and countless others. Anthony and I have been working together to refine the songs and will continue to for the next couple of months until we start recording in January. There will be either 5 or 6 songs on the EP. It is an honor to work with someone who has worked with some great artists and is as talented as Anthony. Our plan is to make sure that this recording tops anything you've ever heard me come out with. I'm psyched about the possibilities!

The second bit of news is that through Anthony, I have become friendly with Ryan Hoyle who is the drummer for Collective Soul. We've been talking for a while and Ryan is going to track drums for the new EP! Ryan is as talented as he is a cool guy. His drumming is unreal and he has worked with the best of the best.

I am more than excited to be working with these guys and am just as excited to let everyone hear the EP when it's done. There will be video blogs throughout the process and a re-vamp of my website as well as the My Space page when everything is done.

The music of Bob Dylan will be interpreted in a glittering array of different voices and styles on November 7 at The Beacon Theater by 16 unique and eclectic recording artists in celebration of Todd Haynes' highly anticipated "I'm Not There," the provocative new biographical film about legendary singer and songwriter Bob Dylan. Apple(R) has announced that it has expanded its iTunes(R) Plus offering to over two million tracks and lowered the price of all iTunes Plus tracks to just 99 cents. All iTunes Plus tracks feature DRM-free music with high quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audio quality virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings. The iTunes Plus catalog is now the largest DRM-free catalog in the world, and includes artists from Sub Pop, Nettwerk, Beggars Group, IODA, The Orchard and many others, along with EMI's digital catalog.

"iTunes Plus has been incredibly popular with our customers and now we're making it available at an even more affordable price," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes. Just wanted to give everyone some updates on our recent touring, Myspace changes, and "XXX" CD news...

As many of you may have already heard...we had a theft abt. a week and a half ago in Iowa. If you haven't heard about it, this is a re-post from Eric's Myspace page:

"Someone broke into our trailer and stole my 2 Thunderbird basses Thursday night. We were on our way to play a gig in Des Moines, Iowa and had stopped in Davenport to stay overnight. The side door lock was cut off and my basses and Lisa's cymbals were taken. The club owner was nice enough to round up replacements for the gigs and we got through the shows. After going through all the steps of reporting the crime, etc. I find out that my insurance does not cover it. We will be getting full coverage of the band gear now and I have the trailer locked up like fort knox! I can only hope that my basses will turn up from the police or from someone spotting them. If anyone hears of a black Gibson studio Thunderbird (or 2) being sold, please let me know."

We're off from touring for the next 2 weeks to mix and master our CD. Look for us to be announcing a release date in the next couple of weeks! We'll be resuming touring on Nov. 2nd in High Point, North Carolina!

First, as some of you might know, I've been working on my solo album with Geffen records for quite some time now and we're planning on releasing it worldwide during the first half of next year. Matt Kramer’s literary debut will be released with an acoustic show and book signing Saturday, November 3rd at 7 pm at Cefalo’s Wine Bar, 3540 Main Highway, Suite C102, Coconut Grove, FL.

Why a music show and no reading? Well, as Kramer, who may be better know for his hit records with Saigon Kick says “sometimes my poetry is more rock n roll than my rock n roll.”

Titled “An American Profit” (Lascivious Books), the poetry book shows the many angles of the Saigon Kick famed lead vocalist and co-writer of the rock act signed to Atlantic Records.

This edgy and sometimes sarcastic deep inner perspective look into his writing is the first of several poetry books Kramer has already completed and slated for release at future dates. “An American Profit” will be available for sale exclusively through www.mattkramer.net in the merchandise store. The site is now taking pre-orders, and all pre-ordered copies will be autographed.

Matt Kramer the poet has been publishing his penned words for two decades as a lyricist and songwriter. A Miami native, Kramer made his name as the leonine lead singer of Saigon Kick, a high profile rock band signed to a major label. He toured the world and had hit records in the early 1990s, always writing words, lyrics, poems, and stories. His world travels, love of literature and musical genres that include jazz, blues, and opera opened new avenues to his writing.

“I write a lot of poetry these days, I think my take on poetry is a bit different from the norm,” Kramer says. “Starting my lyrical journey as a song lyricist I always pushed the envelope on the idea content, and with my poetry I make no exceptions. But I also choose more topics that a big bad rock star can’t write about, like the poetry I write when I’m at my cottage in Nebraska.. Last time I was there for 11 days and I wrote 33 poems in that time. They are more of a small town country feel that I could never express in my writing till now.”

Kramer’s poems dwell on the psychedelic swirl that is modern life: the current state of Florida’s Native Americans, his fellow rockers, the twisted dichotomy of religion, On The Road scribe Jack Kerouac, the business of show, the Three Stooges, and modern/false idols. Cover art is by Joe Klucar, Miami artist who also teamed up with Matt to design his solo album War & Peas.

“Sometimes my writing is showing more of me than ever, the funny side, the quite sarcastic, sometimes very scary, as well as abstract,” Kramer says. “It’s a great way to mature my love for lyric.”

Clay Aiken, who became a music superstar following his success on the American Idol television series, will join the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Monty Python's SPAMALOT, making his Broadway debut in the role of Sir Robin, at the Shubert Theatre, New York, from January 18 to May 4, 2008.
