Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas!

Tony & Jere

Seventh Decibel & Vocalist Part Ways

December.21st.2007 - Friday

7thdB has had one hell of a year. They cut a limited edition CD in a few weeks after they got together. They opened for 1991 American Music Award winners “Firehouse” this year. They did a small tour with their friends Rightfully Accused over the summer. Their music was played on Fox Sports and they continued to play out in some of Denver’s hottest clubs for the rest of year. So it has been an exciting year for 7thdB.

But with all bands, sometimes change is inevitable. They regret to say that their singer Brad Bowles will be leaving 7thdB Dec 31st. Their last show together will be “New Years Eve at Jammin Joe’s! So go see this line up one last time as they rock you into the NEW YEAR! Brad is moving on with a new Job with the airlines at DIA. They wish him all the best with his new job. 7thdB would also like to thank Brad Bowles and Mike Eaton (their former drummer) for there time and dedication to the band over the year. We hope they will be rockin soon!

As far as 7thdB goes…THEY ARE ROCKIN FORWARD!! Jason, Kelly, Koobs and Pat are currently rockin away in the studio for the next CD. They are painstakingly going over every track making sure it is perfect before moving on. Shooting videos, taking a ton of pictures and enjoying the new songs. They are currently auditioning new singers and will be ready to rock you all again soon in ’08!

7thdB would like to wish all of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY HEALTHY ROCKIN NEW YEAR! We thank each and every one of you for your support and friendship! Keep checking the website and MySpace for all the latest news and updates!

Peace!

If you are a vocalist and want to be a part of a great band…Check out their MySpace @ www.myspace.com/7thdecibelrocks. If you like what you hear… send a link of any sample work you have done. Thank you!

A Fine Frenzy - Let It Snow (In California)

Press Release

A Fine Frenzy has contributed a newly recorded track, the dreamy, ethereal “Let It Snow (in California),” to Starbucks’ Stockings By The Fire. The compilation is in stores now. Listen to the song: virg001.edgeboss.net/wmedia/

Sudol which just wrapped up VH1’s “You Oughta Know” Tour 2007 with Brandi Carlile, has been named an Editor’s Choice “Best New Artist” in the iTunes Best of 2007. A Fine Frenzy’s iTunes Live Session, scheduled for release on December 27th, will include live versions of four tracks from the her acclaimed debut album, One Cell in The Sea: lead single “Almost Lover,” “The Minnow and The Trout,” “Borrowed Time” and “Last Of Days.”

“The melodies on this debut are breathless…imbued with piano swells,” said Entertainment Weekly. “Such attention to the dramatic works wonders on stripped-down tunes like ‘Almost Lover,’ which lets Sudol's delicate voice take center stage.” Paste awarded it four stars and found it “bursting with talent” while Harp observed: “A Fine Frenzy is a blend of sounds and influences…..where there’s Ella, Aretha and Louis, there’s also Radiohead, Sigur Rós, Aqualung and Keane.”

Sudol, who will be in Vogue’s January issue, is looking forward to the holidays. Her #1 wish? “A perfectly peaceful day of walking my dog, eating lovely food, seeing friends over coffee, playing the piano, watching movies and getting lots of hugs,” she says. Her complete top 10 is below, but for Alison the real joy is in giving and she still fondly remembers her early gift-making efforts.

“I was about four years old and we were celebrating at my grandparents’ house,” she recalls. “Late on Christmas Eve, I decided to make special gifts for my family all by myself. I took large amounts of red and green yarn and turned them into these strange, tumbleweed-like blobs that looked like hairballs from a cat that had gotten into the holiday decoration box. I thought they were beautiful and proudly handed out far more than necessary to my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles with a big grin. It's the thought that counts!”

Clay Aiken - UNICEF Update

Web Release

Clay Aiken and UNICEF, helping children everywhere

Over the holidays, UNICEF Ambassador Clay Aiken will be visiting UNICEF projects for children affected by Mexico's worst flooding in 50 years.

Help Clay raise $100,000 by December 31 to help the children of Mexico!

Clay will be blogging from the field about the situation in Mexico on
Fieldnotes.unicefusa.org. We can tell you now that the destruction in Tabasco was widespread and particularly hard on children:

* Approximately 70% of the schools were damaged.
* 100% of the state crops were destroyed.

UNICEF staff working in more than 150 countries around the world are unable to take a vacation from saving kids lives. In a show of solidarity, Clay will forgo his holiday vacation to help support the kids of Mexico. Help make Clay’s vacation a success!

Clay's previous field visits

Clay in Afghanistan

In April 2007, Clay visited Afghanistan and launched the "$100,000 in 10 Days" campaign to support UNICEF's lifesaving programs in the country. Clay's fans responded generously and exceeded the goal well before the ten days were up.

While touring health centers and schools, Clay spoke with children and women who are benefiting from the improved facilities made possible by UNICEF. He was impressed by those he met and said that Afghanistan’s greatest resource is its people.

Clay in Uganda

Clay traveled to northern Uganda in May 2005, to witness the phenomenon of "night commuters," children who trek from the countryside into slightly more secure towns and UNICEF-supported shelters every night to avoid being abducted by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA).

Clay in Indonesia

While touring Indonesia in March 2005, three months after the tsunami devastated vast areas of South Asia, Clay witnessed and participated in UNICEF programs that helped children reconnect with their families, provided care for orphans, allowed children to return to school and helped prevent the spread of disease.

Thanks for all the emails about this matter, here's top hoping things will be fixed by January! It may come down to putting up a new temporary front page until we correct everything, we shall see. Cooper & Sparks - "The Rock" Teen Music Center

Press Release

Rock star Alice Cooper and 2007 "American Idol" Jordin Sparks today (15th) dedicate the site of a real-life school of rock complete with a multi-use concert hall, recording studio and sound rooms.

The dedication ceremony begins with Cooper making a flamboyant entry to the site riding a backhoe to music performed live by local teen garage band "The Silent Cry." Cooper will be followed by Sparks, ensconced in a Corvette convertible, to commemorate the ground on which a 29,000-square-foot, $7 million teen center titled "The Rock" will be built at Grand Canyon University, one of the nation's fastest-growing Arizona's leading higher education institutions.

It's all an effort led by Cooper and supported by Sparks -- both Christians raised in Phoenix -- to keep teens on the straight and narrow, away from crime and drugs, and having fun and learning. Both Cooper and Sparks have ties to Grand Canyon University -- Cooper, a long-time contributor to Grand Canyon University (GCU), supports scholarships and received an honorary doctorate there. Sparks, whose grandmother is a GCU alumnus, designated The Rock as one of the charities to which she would donate a portion of her winnings.

Grand Canyon University CEO Brent Richardson will join Cooper and Sparks on-stage to ceremoniously dedicate the site to the community. A special "Thank You" banner will then be presented to Cooper by members of local community youth programs.

The Rock will offer a variety of after-school programs and special events for area youth. The facility is designed to provide a safe, fun place for area teens to gather and participate in program activities that will make a difference in their lives.

The Rock will include a coffee house with kitchen and snack bar, indoor basketball courts, rock climbing walls, computer/study rooms and a game room. Concerts from youth bands will be planned and other special events are envisioned in partnership with community and church organizations.

3:10 To Yuma, Soundtrack?

December.14th.2007 - Friday

Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF), the leading independent filmed entertainment studio, announced today its release of the soundtrack to the critical and box office hit 3:10 TO YUMA, starring Russell Crowe, Christian Bale and Ben Foster and directed by James Mangold. The original score, written by acclaimed composer Marco Beltrami, brilliantly echoes Mangold's modern spin on the western genre, blending traditional elements with vibrant, contemporary sounds to create an innovative, emotionally satisfying soundtrack. 3:10 TO YUMA - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be in stores nationwide on December 18, 2007, just in time for the holiday season and in anticipation of year-end accolades and awards consideration. The announcement was made by Jay Faires, Lionsgate, President of Music & Publishing. Beltrami received a nomination for the Critics' Choice Awards from the Broadcast Film Critics Association for Best Original Score for "3:10 TO YUMA."

A stark parable of good and evil, 3:10 TO YUMA offers a gritty depiction of life in the mythic Old West, combining intense physical action with sharply honed character drama to deliver supremely satisfying, thoroughly modern entertainment. Director James Mangold, whose knowledge of music greatly informed his direction of the Academy Award(R) -- winning film WALK THE LINE, credits Beltrami's soundtrack for 3:10 TO YUMA with "being dazzling in its technique, but even more accomplished for the emotional power it brings to the picture." For the film, Beltrami created confident and lyrical melodies and themes, featuring everything from wheezing organ pedal to high speed guitar picking to bugle to full orchestra to fuzz guitar to mouth harp. The result is one of the year's most innovative scores.

Composer Marco Beltrami first caught Hollywood's attention in 1996 with Wes Craven's smash hit horror flick SCREAM. Since that time, the composer has been building an impressive filmography including Guillermo del Toro's HELLBOY; box office hits TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES from James Cameron, I, ROBOT starring Will Smith, and RED EYE starring Rachel McAdams; and the critically-acclaimed western THE THREE BURIALS OF MELQUIADES ESTRADA directed by and starring Tommy Lee Jones. In addition to multiple ASCAP honors, Beltrami received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 1998 for his work on the television movie DAVID AND LISA, produced by Oprah Winfrey. Next, Beltrami reunites with Tommy Lee Jones for IN THE ELECTRIC MIST directed by BAFTA winner Bertrand Tavernier. Beltrami is also scoring the music for Lionsgate's upcoming thriller THE EYE starring Jessica Alba.

3:10 TO YUMA opened nationwide at #1 at the box office this fall, and continues to generate 'buzz' as the awards season evolves. The film received great critical acclaim, frequently applauded for reviving interest in the western genre for modern audiences. Of the film's music, Michael Rechtshaffen of The Hollywood Reporter wrote: "The impressive work extends behind the scenes to ... Marco Beltrami's percolating score, which subtly yet effectively signals YUMA's status as a thinking-person's Western."

Some may wonder why we would post this information. The reason being is that we listen to movie scores nearly as much as Rock/Pop material. Not to mention the Best Of is only 1 month away and we are still plugging in information.

Introducing "Illegal Eagles"

Artist Release

It's taken some time to put together but it's been worth the wait. We now have our tour dates set for the Spring of 2008.

After our extremely successful "coming out" party at the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend, there is no holding us back now that we have a new look, fab new logo, new t-shirts, new cd coming out, new tour books, and just a whole new attitude.

Thanks to some rather clever planning from our booking agent and our promoter, the tours this year will be divided in half with the Spring romp covering mostly the southern part of the UK and the Autumn trip will mostly cover the northern part of the UK. You good people that live in the middle, well, we may see you on both jaunts. There will be some gigs in the summer as well, so keep your eyes on this site, or at
www.illegaleagles.com for details as they come in.

25 shows have been posted for the Spring, please have a look and find one near you. All start times are currently listed at 19:30 but it would be wise to check with the venue as those times will vary slightly from place to place.

With The Eagles having a fantastic, brand new , double cd out, we want to hear from you, the fans. Let us know which new songs you would most like to hear in our live set and we'll put noses to the grindstone as quickly as possible.

The whole band is amped up and really excited to see all of you in 2008. Have a safe and wonderful holiday season!

Best wishes,

KEITH, JEFF, PHIL, CHRIS, & DANNY

The Illegal Eagles are:
Phil Aldridge - Drum, Keyboards and Vocals

Iron Maiden & EMI - Extend Relationship

Press Release

EMI and Iron Maiden today announced they have renewed and extended their historic 28-year recording relationship in a deal for the world, excluding the USA, which also includes other revenues such as touring, merchandise and sponsorship.

Signed to EMI Records in November 1979, Iron Maiden quickly became one of the biggest rock bands in the world and have gone on to sell some 70 million albums including three No 1 and 15 Top 10 albums in the UK alone.

A Matter of Life and Death, Iron Maiden’s 14th and most recent studio album released in 2006, charted at No 1 in 10 countries, achieved Top 10 positions in 30 more and was Billboard magazine’s No 1 International Album.

With a massive worldwide live following, Iron Maiden continue to take Metal into new territories. In March this year they became the first major metal band to play in India when their show sold out to over 25,000 fans in the grounds of Bangalore Palace and also were the first band ever to sell out the United Arab Emirate’s Desert Rock Festival in Dubai, with fans travelling there from all over the Middle East.

These shows were followed by more European dates in June which saw the band being the first to headline Donington Festival in the UK for a fourth time and the further announcement that in early 2008 Iron Maiden will embark on their most ambitious tour to date - a 60,000 mile six week trip around the planet flying in a customized Boeing 757 carrying all band, crew and equipment and flown by Maiden vocalist and Airline Captain Bruce Dickinson. This historical opening leg precedes extensive tours of North America and Europe later in the year.

In the last two weeks Iron Maiden have been busy breaking yet more records for this, the “SOMEWHERE BACK IN TIME WORLD TOUR 08”, which concentrates on songs from their classic eighties albums and features a tour production based on the Egyptian concept of their legendary mid eighties tour focused around the Powerslave album. Already, over nine months in advance of the concert dates, 125,000 tickets for their three stadium shows in Sweden and Finland sold out in less than two and a half hours, and, continuing South America’s love affair with all things Maiden, their date at the Simon Bolivar Stadium in Bogata enjoyed the fastest and biggest first day box office of any music event ever held in Colombia. Despite having not played Australia for fifteen years their shows in both Sydney and Melbourne sold out in less than 30 min leading to second shows being added.

Having headlined major UK festivals such as Reading and Donington many times in their career, last week Iron Maiden announced their first ever UK stadium show, confirming they will be playing the 50,000 capacity Twickenham Rugby Stadium on Saturday 5th July 2008, a major date in the calendar of any UK rock and metal fan.

Rod Smallwood, who has managed the band since 1979 and instigated the original EMI deal, commented, “We’ve had three tremendous decades working with EMI and have many friends there. Through many "regimes" EMI have always given us their full support and our relationship with their companies worldwide has always been excellent. For a band with a global following like Maiden, who rely on fan word of mouth, touring and marketing/sales expertise as they receive little or no radio or TV support, it is key that the 100% support and implementation of our visual marketing campaigns internationally is both effective and enthusiastic and EMI and their Worldwide affiliates have always fulfilled this. So with this new type of deal in place, it makes absolute sense for us to continue and extend our relationship in what is effectively a new period for the music industry. We’ve got some great plans for 2008 and beyond, and I can’t wait to get back on the road next year on a tour which appropriately celebrates the band's formative years.”

Co-manager Andy Taylor added, “The industry is changing all around us so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to sign this deal with EMI which brings us even closer together and gives Iron Maiden new opportunities in these wider areas."

Tony Wadsworth, Chairman & CEO, EMI Music UK said, “Since the early eighties Maiden has been a flagship band for EMI and we have enjoyed a fantastic long term relationship. Now that we can work with and support them in their broader music activities, our goal is to help build on the foundations already in place for an even more successful future. ”

Eagles Co-Founder, Randy Meisner To Release 5 Albums

December.10th.2007 - Monday

In 1972, Randy Meisner and three of his musician friends, signed with Asylum Records and called themselves, The Eagles. Ten albums later, and with the accolade of being part of "The Best Selling U.S. Band of all-time," Meisner decamped, and Sonic Past Music is privileged to have five of his CDs distributed on their label. Randy Meisner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with The Eagles in 1999. Go to randymeisner.sonicpastmusic.com for more information on the following releases.

Live In Dallas was recorded in 1978 and features Meisner at the peak of his performing career. The CD includes his solo version of many of the Eagles favorites that he wrote as well as newer Meisner solos.

Love Me Or Leave Me Alone is a compendium of Randy's unreleased favorites…some having been recorded by The Eagles and others that have never been heard before.

Meisner, Swan And Rich has Randy hooking up with Memphis songwriting legend Billy Swan and Alan Rich in the late '90s. The album features many of Rich, Sr.'s classic hits and recent Jerry Lee Lewis' (Rich's godfather) material. The album is Randy's first collaboration, post-Eagles.

The Drivin' Dynamics showcases Meisner's first group and proves why they were one of the top touring attractions in the Midwest. In 2001, The Dynamics celebrated their 40th anniversary and performed for thousands at a celebration in Oregon with all previous members on hand.

Help The Poor is the group Randy joined after leaving The Drivin' Dynamics. The band left Colorado and headed to Hollywood in the mid-'60s. This album draws from never released material recorded by the band. Decca, Loma and York Records released several singles by Help The Poor, but did not release an album by the group.

Sonic Past Music was formed as an outlet for Meisner and other popular and recognizable artists to commercially release albums that have been previously unavailable or were not released on any label. Sonic Past founder, Joey Stec explains, "In today's fractured music industry we don't have to be 19 and mainstream to put out our albums, it's okay to cater to a niche market. These titles are by artists that made their mark primarily on the West Coast in the '70s and '80s. They are my friends, colleagues and family. Collectively we've spent decades together in the studio amassing hundreds of albums-worth of masters."

Justin Murr On Hairball John Radio Show

December.7th.2007 - Friday

This week, Hairball John and The Acid Chimp welcome back to the show the mastermind behind Liberty N' Justice, Justin Murr. Justin talks about the transition of Liberty N' Justice from a band to its current form as a project with several different singers and collaborators on each release.

Justin also gives the Hairball Nation a special treat in the form of a brand new song from his forth-coming "best of" CD, featuring liner notes written by our very own Hairball John.

In addition to a song from the recent Liberty N' Justice disc Independence Day, we also have new music from XYZ front-man Terry Ilous with a song from his collection Here And Gone, featuring rare tracks from both his solo career and time with XYZ. Finnish rockers Private Line round out the new music with a cut from their sophomore disc Evel Knievel Factor.

Finally, the guys celebrate the 36th anniversary of Chimpy's escape from womb by spinning tunes from some of the primate's favorites like Lion, Iron Maiden, Sleeze Beez, Tesla and the oh-so pretty Jon Bon Jovi.

Special 2 CD Set Of The Y&T '90s

Newsletter

Happy holidays to you and yours from the Y&T camp! We look forward to seeing you all in 2008.

Thanks again to those who travelled near and far, from all over the world, to participate in the annual Mystic Theatre weekend. These two sold out shows proved, once again, why Y&T fans consider the Mystic Theatre shows to be "THE" Y&T event of the year.

Early next year we'll be releasing a special 2-CD set of the Y&T '90s CDs: Musically Incorrect and Endangered Species. Stay tuned for more info. Also, we're still trying to obtain the rights to re-release the first two Yesterday and Today albums, but Universal is currently in the midst of an internal ownership battle over these two albums; until they resolve it, our hands are tied.

We already have a few new shows added to the Tour Dates page of the web site, with more on the way. 2008 looks to be a great year for Y&T fans around the world.

Stubner Tries To Throw Tommy Lee Under The Bus

Press Release

In Court and in papers filed with the Court, in Motley Crue v. Carl Stubner, et al., attorneys for defendant Carl Stubner argued that Motley Crue's proper claim should not be against Stubner, but rather should be made against Stubner's client, Tommy Lee. Motley Crue, through their attorney, disagreed.

Skip Miller of Miller Barondess, LLP, representing legendary rock band Motley Crue, stated in Court: "This band is not going to sue Tommy Lee; this lawsuit is not about Tommy Lee. It is about Carl Stubner's tactics that we contend harmed Motley Crue and cost the band millions of dollars." The attorneys were arguing a demurrer.

The evidence in the lawsuit against Stubner consists of statements from band members Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars as well as ten sworn declarations from key professionals associated with the band. It conclusively demonstrates that Stubner was a manager of Motley Crue and not just the manager of drummer Tommy Lee as he has previously claimed. The Motley Crue lawsuit alleges that Stubner breached his fiduciary duties to Motley Crue by making threats and demanding more money for himself.

According to Nikki Sixx, a founding member of Motley Crue, "There are witnesses to Carl Stubner's threats and demands for more money for himself. Managers have to be held to higher standards in the music business just like they are in other industries." As stated by founding band member Mick Mars, "Tommy Lee has been my and Nikki's friend for longer than anyone. This band is not going to sue Tommy Lee. We will hold Carl Stubner and Sanctuary accountable."

At the hearing, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Richard L. Fruin directed Motley Crue to go back and specify the threats made by Stubner in detail, when they were made and to whom they were made. The band's attorneys said they would do so.

VH1 Classic Bringing Back Original "Pop-Up Video"

Press Release

VH1 Classic, a division of Viacom's, MTV Networks, is bringing back the original "Pop-Up Video" series online at VH1Classic.com. Beginning today, close to 50 "popped" videos from artists including Madonna, Michael Jackson, Culture Club and Whitney Houston are available on demand. Additional videos will be added to the online archives in early January 2008.

Until now, the popular music series, which aired on VH1 from 1996-2002 was not available online and has only rarely been seen on TV since the series ended. Videos included in the initial online launch include:

"Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club
"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper
"Rio" by Duran Duran
"Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS
"Express Yourself" by Madonna
"Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye
"Black or White" by Michael Jackson

The online release of the "Pop-Up Video" archives is VH1's latest effort to extend the series that pairs music videos with trivia and facts about artists and their videos. In September VH1 extended the pop-up franchise on VH1 Mobile with a made-for-mobile version of the series called "Pop Up Mobile to Go." The mobile series, which offers the pop-up treatment to more current artists and videos has seen significant success on VH1 Mobile and has added to the tremendous growth VH1 Mobile has seen in the last few months. Streams on VH1 Mobile in October grew 31% over the prior month and increased 233% versus the same time period last year. New videos from artists including, Beck, Snoop Dogg and Amy Winehouse will launch throughout 2008 on VH1 Mobile's "Pop Up Video To Go," which is available on all mobile carriers.

Journey - Lead Singer Announced

Press Release

After much speculation…the wait is finally over.

JOURNEY--Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums)--is proud to introduce fans all over the world to their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda (“pin-eh-da”). He replaces Jeff Scott Soto, who parted ways with the band earlier this year after stepping in for Steve Augeri, who had to leave the band in 2006 for medical reasons.

Arnel hails from Quezon City in the Philippines and has been singing Journey songs--in addition to original material--with his band, The Zoo, for the past couple of years in clubs all over his homeland. Joining the legendary band is a dream come true for him.

“It’s so exciting to sing with one of the best bands in the world. It’ll be a lot of hard work on my part and I’m actually looking forward to the scrutiny I’ll get from the hardcore JOURNEY fans. I know they’ll expect me to sound exactly like ‘the voice’ (Steve Perry), but that will never happen. I know there's only one Steve Perry in this world.”

JOURNEY is currently working on a new album with legendary producer Kevin Shirley, which they hope to release by spring/summer 2008. Details will be announced early next year.

Trixter - Givin' It To Ya Good Tour 2008

Trixter will be hitting the road in 2008 as all 4 original members are back on track. Steve Brown, Pete Loran, PJ Farley & Mark "Gus" Scott will be on the "Givin' It To Ya Good 2008" tour.

As if that wasn't enough to get fans excited, the band will also be releasing the long awaited "Alive In Japan" live album that Pete Loran had previously mentioned to us back in 2004.

Tour dates are currently being booked and additional information will be posted as we get closer to the opening tour date.

Michael Jackson - Thriller 25th Anniversary

Press Release

The Michael Jackson Thriller 25th anniversary celebration kicks off in December 2007 with the release of a new single and continues throughout 2008 with a multi-faceted global marketing campaign featuring high-profile television, radio and online events around the world.

The Thriller - 25th Anniversary Edition will include the original album in its entirety as well as eight bonus tracks and a DVD featuring Michael Jackson's groundbreaking short films from Thriller ("Thriller," "Beat It," and "Billie Jean") and the artist's Emmy-nominated breakout performance of "Billie Jean" from the legendary "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" television special (first broadcast on NBC on May 16, 1983).

The newly expanded version of Thriller premieres five tracks previously unreleased in any form: a new Kanye West remix of "Billie Jean"; a new 2008 version of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" with Akon and will.i.am; will.i.am remixes of "The Girl Is Mine" and "P.Y.T."; and "For All Time," a rare unreleased cut from the original Thriller recording sessions, newly mixed and mastered by Michael Jackson.

Additional bonus material on the Thriller - 25th Anniversary Edition includes "Someone In The Dark," "Carousel," and Michael Jackson's original demo recording of "Billie Jean."

The deluxe Thriller - 25th Anniversary Edition packaging contains a personal greeting from Michael Jackson to his fans penned exclusively for this special release.

Originally released in the US 25 years ago on November 30, 1982 by Epic Records, Thriller, Michael Jackson's sixth solo album and second with producer Quincy Jones, rocketed the former child-star lead singer for the Jackson 5 into the stratosphere of international superstardom. Introducing the "robot" and the "moonwalk" into the international lexicon of clubland dance moves via the pulsing sounds of Thriller, Michael Jackson revolutionized all aspects of mainstream pop culture -- from radio airwaves to the newly emerging art form of music videos -- becoming the world's most popular entertainer in the process.

The original Thriller spent an astounding 80 consecutive weeks in the American Top 10, 37 of those at #1. Seven of the album's original nine tracks became Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 while Individual singles from Thriller reached #1 chart positions in the US, the UK, France, Italy, Australia, Denmark, Belgium, South Africa, Spain, Ireland, New Zealand and Canada.

"Walking In Space"

Press Release

When the Space Shuttle Atlantis launches from Cape Canaveral, Florida on Thursday, December 6th on its mission to deliver the European Space Agency's Columbus laboratory to the International Space Station, Astronaut Leland Melvin will have in tow a copy of Quincy Jones' 1969 Grammy Award winning recording "Walking in Space," which he will use as his wake-up music during the mission.

Commented Melvin, "Quincy Jones is someone who I have a great deal of respect and admiration for and I couldn't think of a more appropriate selection to use as my wake-up music."

Melvin's duties on the Shuttle Atlantis mission will be to support three space walks using the robotic arm and install the Columbus laboratory from Atlantis' payload bay to its permanent home on the International Space Station.

Commented Jones, "I am truly honored that Mr. Melvin has chosen one of my pieces of work for this momentous occasion. I was inspired to record the 'Walking in Space' album in 1969 after Buzz Aldrin told me that he had played my arrangement of Frank Sinatra's 'Fly Me To The Moon' during his space flight to the moon, so to have it come full circle like this is quite remarkable and very humbling."

A jazz-R&B-pop fusion album that helped usher in a new era in R&B music in the early 70's, "Walking in Space" won Jones a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance By a Large Group. Citing his groundbreaking work on "Walking in Space," in 1998 Time Magazine named Quincy Jones one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th Century. In January, Jones will receive the nation's highest jazz honor when he is recognized as a Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Queen + Paul Rodgers - New Recording, Free Download...

November.30th.2007 - Friday

It has not been that closely a guarded secret that Queen and Paul Rodgers have been in the recording studio for their first sessions together following their successful world tour of 2005/2006. Indeed, both Paul and Brian have been quoted on their websites as being "quietly excited" about the music that has been produced from this creative union.

Spurred on by their commitments as Ambassadors to Nelson Mandela's 46664 HIV AIDS global campaign, on which the spotlight will fall December 1 with a World Aids Day awareness and fundraising concert in Johannesburg, South Africa, Brian, Roger and Paul have announced they have rushed to finish a track specially written for 46664 by Roger and have it available as a free download in time for this coming Saturday's benefit concert.

The track, Roger's "Say It's Not True", originally came to light for the launch of the 46664 campaign back in November 2003. Roger wrote the song as a gift to Nelson Mandela (or 'Madiba', as he is fondly known), and performed it live for him for the first time with Brian and Dave Stewart at the inaugural 46664 concert in Cape Town that month. The song carries the message that HIV AIDS is something that can affect any one of us.

Roger performed an acoustic version of the song again nightly during the Queen + Paul Rodgers' 2005 tour, each time dedicating it to Madiba's work to bring people and politicians together to fight HIV AIDS and make the necessary treatment drugs available.

Having played two previous 46664 concerts, but committed in the studio this year, Roger, Brian, and Paul decided to revisit the song, with all three of them sharing the vocals, and to make the song the band's message of support to Nelson Mandela this year.

"By making the song available for free", says Roger, "we hope to help Madiba with his campaign to get across the message that no-one is safe from infection. We have to be aware, we have to protect ourselves and those we love. The song follows the line of his personal message: it's in our own hands to bring a stop to this."

Queen's last new studio recording was back in November 1997 when Brian, Roger and John Deacon reunited to record "No-One But You" a song written by Brian which was shaped by the early loss of Freddie Mercury to AIDS. The song was the last new work to be released by the band, issued as a single in January 1998.

A specially made video for "Say It's Not True" will be premiered during this Saturday's 46664 Johannesburg World AIDS Day concert and the track will be made available as a FREE download exclusively on www.queenonline.com and through www.46664.com, www.46664global.com, queenpluspaulrodgers.com and www.paulrodgers.com on World Aids Day, December 1.

Hanson - Middle Of Nowhere Acoustic CD/DVD

Hanson.net

On May 6th, 1997 HANSON released their debut album, Middle of Nowhere. The classic rock ‘n’ roll and R&B influences mixed with modern beats and rich harmonies were a sharp contrast to the current state of music, dominated by the Alternative scene. This new sound was a bold introduction to the world and was welcomed by music fans and critics alike. Selling more than 8 million copies, it was lead by the song MmmBop, a #1 hit single in 27 countries. Other singles included Where’s the Love, Weird and I Will Come to You.

“Hanson: where music is headed” was the header on promotional copies of the album. That statement may have seemed overreaching, but Middle of Nowhere soon proved worthy of such extraordinary claims. Rolling Stone called it one of the “essential albums of the 90’s” and it was given further recognition through three Grammy nominations. The nominations included record of the year, best new artist, and best pop performance. Isaac, Taylor and Zac were also recognized as the youngest Grammy nominated songwriters of all time. The accolades earned it iconic status among the music of that time – but it was merely the platform for a band committed to its music.

May 5th 2007, marking a decade on the global stage and 15 million albums sold, HANSON goes back to basics with the Middle of Nowhere Acoustic recording. The band revisits their iconic debut album and musical origin with a candid live performance before an intimate crowd. This performance was dedicated to the life long fans that have followed HANSON throughout four studio albums and numerous worldwide tours.

RocKarma - Track List Rundown

MySpace Bulletin

Damon Kelly of RocKarma has updated fans with a track list rundown of  the tracks that will be on the upcoming RocKarma - Bring It album. Set for a Dec 1st release, just in time for the holidays. Produced by Ty Sims and Erik Johnson of Bombay Black, the band is offering up a cd With infectious hooks, Tommy Lee style drums and guitar playing that will please any melodic rock fan!

Damon Kelly:
1. BETWEEN YOU AND ME (BYAM)
-like anything in life. Things always start out great! Only to sour as time passes. In the end, some things change. When you look back, Hind sight is always 20/20. So you gotta feel it, know it, accept it, and dont ever go back to that place EVER again...!

2. ALL FOR YOU (A4U)
-There is no time to waste, and we must unleash the inner beast all of us have lurking inside, and just Go for it...! This one is our tip of the hat to the fans of this band and melodic rock in general. We are here for you!

3. I KNOW (IK)
-Being away from your significant other can be really hard sometimes. Yet a blessing in disguise. You gotta be able to close your eyes and grip onto what matters the most, just so you can break down any and all barriers...

4. MISSIN YOU (MU)
-Sometimes you realize just how deep you really are, and it then it sneaks up on you and can throw you for a loop. You dont know if you should let it in, or out...Love..bumpy ride, but what a concept!!

5. BRING IT (BI)
-Do you know what its like to go way beyond your wildest imagination to ultimately see your vision through? To do it at any rate/cost? Because it's as if your very life depends on it. How far are you willing to go to achieve that goal? It's not a question of "can" it be done. IT WILL BE DONE....so Bring It!!! In a way this is a open letter to the nay sayers of this band and genre of music.

6. HEREAFTER (HA)
-Second chapter in life. It's hard to admit and commit, but you have to stay true to yourself to get through it all. The only way to move on is to "let go..."

7. FEELS LIKE I'M FALLING (FLIF)
-That empty void inside of us, that we think love can fill. Eventually it comes around full circle to bite you, and theres no one to save you but yourself...Thats what happens when you put yourself in a situation that opens the gate to heartache and pain...

8. LETS GO (LG)
-Everyone needs to find their own groove in whatever it is they do...take it and make it!

9. THATS ALL (TA)
-THIS IS MY TAKE AND SALUTE TO THE SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS Football Club..! WINNERS OF THE 2007 GREY CUP!...things dont have to be so complicated and frustrating all the time-theres ups and downs and in and between time...BUT good times and good things always come around, shouldnt there always be a time and place to just let loose?...exactly...!

10.. SAME OLD SONG (SOS)
-Have you ever felt you really need to just "go for it", but you end up stuck in the same rut jumping up and down profusely? You know what makes sense, but that isn't necessarily the way to go. The fight will never end, but at the end of the day...?

11. BAD JUNE (BJ)
This is the first song the band collaborated together as a team. Pete Fry brought the music to the table and it kicked our teeth in. It is the quintessential album opener. It grabs you and shakes you til you say OK OK!! You have my full attention!!! Even though you dont wanna admit it, you just cant resist it!

12. GET ME OUTA THIS HOLE (GMOTH)
-Damned if you do, damned if you dont...Pretty simple right? In the end though ya gotta keep on keepin on...
