Every year we compile what we feel are the best of the best in the world of music & beyond. We focus on a ton of different categories from Best Album to Best Producer to Best DVD. We hold nothing back, The Island starts major work on this project during the months of Oct/Nov/Dec so that the first Monday (After The Holidays) in January it's ready for all to read.

Time To Crack The Whip:
Shipwreck Island Studios.com grew to new heights in 2007 as the numbers increased to an insane amount. We again saw a huge increase in visitors as well as mentions on major websites scattered across the internet. As we've said in the past, we are extremely humbled by all the press. Bringing Realism To The Music World:
As another year ends we look back & pay tribute to the material that we found to be the best of the best. This year was completely different then the past few in that we saw Rock Stars become Country Stars, Rock Bands release cover albums at an insane pace, not to mention the countless reissues & remasters. Some have said this year was power packed full of amazing music but to us this year showed the good, the bad & the ugly in the world of music.

On Our Way To The Top:
Well 2005 is now over, that must mean it's time for The Island's 2005 Best Of Awards..
Last year our list was read by thousands, some agreed with our choices while others did not. To us the point is, this is our time to look back and say here's what we found to be the best of the year. One thing is for sure.... Music means different things to everyone, no one hears the same thing in each song or album.. and quite frankly.. thanks a good thing...
This year we have expanded the list even further. We have added many new categories such as: best pop album / best new pop artist and more.

2004 Awards!
2nd Year Jitters:
Well another year has come and gone, here's our salute to the best in 04. This year we are prepared, the site will not go down because of bandwidth uses. Since we went .COM in 2004 we no longer have that problem.
This was an extremely hard process as there were a lot of great releases in 2004 and it is difficult to cover every album or DVD released this year but the ones listed here are without a doubt the best that 2004 had to offer. (At least in our opinions) The end result is sure to please, and all the CDs/DVDs on this list come highly recommended by Shipwreck Island Studios.

2003 Awards!
Testing The Waters:
It took two long months to finish but the Best of 2003 is finally
here! We thank everyone for being patient as we narrowed the list down
to what we felt was the elite of the past year. We would also like to
thank all the artists on the list for their music and for doing what
they do best.
This was an extremely hard process as there were a lot of great releases
in 2003 and it is difficult to cover every album or DVD released this
year but the ones listed here are without a doubt the best that 2003 had
to offer. (At least in our opinions)
