Island: Singing as well as playing, definitely not an easy task. Yet you pull it off perfectly in your tribute band: The Ultimate Stevie Ray Vaughan Tribute. How do you keep your vocals in top form?

Eddie: I drink plenty of fluids (Beer) and do a few vocal exercises that Hugo showed me. The hard part in the SRB Project, is to focus o the vocal delivery as well as the playing. There's a lot of counterpoint going on.

Island: What is your favorite Stevie Ray song to play in concert?

Eddie: Hard to say, depends on my moon, the crowd's energy, etc. My favorites are Voo Doo Chile and Tightrope.

Island: Your performance on Hugo's Fire In The Night were amazing, is there an Eddie Jelley solo album in the works? If not have you ever thought about releasing one?

Eddie: In all honest, the guitars in Fire In The Night were done in clips. Hugo literally gave me notes on the spot. I was given a basic idea of verse and chorus. Most of the lead work was off the cuff. John Mennen then would dig through the tracks and use what he saw fit. There are two exceptions, Hold Me and Just So You Know. On both of these tracks, I had a day or two to compose the solos.

Island: What is your favorite Fire In The Night song to play?

Eddie: My favorite Hugo song was "Just So You Know".

Island: What CD (s) are in Eddie's CD Player currently?

Eddie: In my CD Player? AJA by Steely Dan!! I still consider it to be a musical and production masterpiece.

Island: Your tribute band isn't a typical tribute band from what I’ve seen. Yes you play the material but you also fit the parts, dressing like the original artist as well as having a guitar that is identical to SRV. Do you find adding those extra elements help you better capture the musical emotions that SRV portrayed?

Eddie: I try to portray Stevie as closely as I can. I feel the same connection to Stevie as Stevie felt with Jimi!

Island: So what's next for Eddie Jelley and his blazing guitar?

Eddie: I've had a blast in working with Hugo for 3 years, I truly love playing Stevie's music, But I'm writing new material right now and hope to be recording soon. I also am keeping my ears open for any new projects that may pop up!

Island: Thanks Eddie for taking the time to check out www.shipwreckislandstudios.com any parting words for our readers and your fans?

Eddie: Keep up the great work on your site, I'm quickly becoming a regular!! All The Best- Eddie Jelley
